If we're being technical the pre-shadow period started on November 25th and post-shadow will linger and end on January 20, 2024. To break things down pre-shadow is the period two weeks before Mercury Retrograde and post-shadow is two weeks after Mercury Retrograde. Mercury goes Retrograde in Capricorn on December 13th right after the Sagittarius ♐️ new moon on December 12th. Mercury Retrograde will dip back into Sagittarius ♐️ on December 23rd. Mercury retrograde in Capricorn will challenge your ability to stick to the plan, even if the big picture feels out of focus. Mercury in Capricorn ♑️ wants you to focus on things that deliver results, which means you could feel restless once this retrograde begins. It's easy for things to get confused and misunderstood. You might feel the pressure to perform things at perfectionist levels, but you'll do better to take your time and avoid rushing things. By the time Mercury enters Sagittarius ♐️, you'll be able to sense the optimism in the air. This is an excellent time to wistfully reflect on the year you've had and challenge yourself to set aspirational goals for 2024.
The planet Mercury rules communication in all forms—listening, writing, reading, speaking, and so on—as well as activities closely related to communication, like negotiations and contracts. It also rules travel, automobiles, shipping, and mail.
So, when Mercury is retrograde, try to remain flexible, patient, and understanding, allow extra time for travel, avoid signing any new contracts, and if you need to sign any contracts just make sure you're reading them thoroughly while Mercury is in Retrograde.

I see someone being very deceptive towards you. A liar, cheater or somebody with sneaky energy is significant. Somebody could be torn between you and another person or you could be torn between two people. I see you putting in a lot of work during this time period just know that hard work will pay off in 2024. You will see the fruits of your labor after Mercury goes direct in January.

Mercury Retrograde is the ultimate transit where exes and/or people from your past will return and try to spin the block to see what it's hitting for again. Cardinal signs you can expect somebody to spin the block really hard to the point the tires might fly to the other side of the road 😮💨. No, but on a serious note and being for real somebody from your past will definitely try to come back into your life in hopes that you'll forgive them and the two of you can start fresh. For others, this could be someone you fell out with trying to come back and make things right with you. This could be a family member or an ex friend. You might even have it on your heart to make things right with someone you fell out with. I see a relationship will end up sour during this period. It could've already been sour before Mercury Retrograde but I see things happening that will make you stand on business when it comes to this person/situation. Some of you will be moving to calmer waters and leaving situations that are no longer serving you purpose. This could be a relationship, friendship, job, enviornment, etc. You're tired of being bird fed and settling for less and ain't nothing wrong with that. You deserve the best #RememberThat
